On Tuesday 15th December, Textile Exchange held their annual Responsible Leather Round Table, this year as a virtual event due to the ongoing risk of Covid-19.
Our Managing Director, Deborah Taylor, was one of the speakers during the event and gave a round up of industry news at the start of the session. Deborah has worked collaboratively with Textile Exchange for 3 years now; initially as a member of the Leather Production Committee representing LWG, and more recently as a direct consultant, acting as interim chair of the Leather Production Committee and also providing support on other elements of work.
Yesterday’s Round Table was well attended with over 100 delegates and the interactive part of the summit really shone a light on where priorities should focus in the coming years. As well as the brainstorming session, Textile Exchange gave updates on LIA, Impact Incentives, the Climate+ strategy and a round up of the latest industry news.
