On Tuesday 19th January 2021 we held our first Partnership Meeting to update our founding partners and invited guests on the development progress of the Foundation. 78 delegates registered from 57 different organisations across the whole value chain of the leather industry – from leather manufacturers, brands, chemical companies, machinery companies, testing houses, technology providers, educational institutes, associations and NGOs.
As well as providing a progress update on general developments and technical developments, the attendees also got to see the first view of the SLF App which will be integral to the transparent dashboard approach of the Foundation.
External speakers gave presentations designed to illustrate good sustainable practice and highlight innovation that can be incorporated into existing processes for reduced impacts and improved traceability.
