German Consumer Survey Makes Interesting Reading

A recent consumer survey was conducted in Germany by the Darmstadt University Leather Project to gain insights about consumers‘ awareness and attitudes towards leather in general and the issue of chemicals in leather in particular.

The results are interesting and provide starting points for improved communication as well as for product design. They also give a snapshot on whether consumers know and understand a selection of product labels, and on their willingness to pay extra for traceability as a product feature.
