The EUDR Deforestation Commission would like to provide interested stakeholders with an opportunity to test their GeoJSON files prior to the launch of the Information System.

Dear SLF Partner,

As you know the implementation date for EUDR is fast approaching, and SLF is a member of the European Commission’s Deforestation Platform that is providing the tools for implementation.

We have received the opportunity for our partners to participate in a trial run of uploading data in JeoJSON format to the system to test it ahead of implementation in December.  Details are given in the below email, and attached document.  There is no limit to the number of companies that can participate but each company can only submit 3 files.

There are links for additional information and an email address for queries in the email below.

As many of you have asked whether they could test anything yet, I hope that some of you will find this a useful opportunity. If you are going to participate, please just let us know so that we can keep a note of the participants.

With kind regards

Deborah

Dear Members of the Deforestation Platform,

The Commission would like to provide interested stakeholders with an opportunity to test their GeoJSON files prior to the launch of the Information System.

How to participate in the test:

  • Send maximum 3 GeoJSON files that are created in accordance with the attached technical documentation to the ENV-EUDR-IS-TEAM@ec.europa.eu functional mailbox (in copy).
  • The title of the email should be “EUDR GeoTest – <Name of the company> – Test <number>” (e.g. EUDR GeoTest – company – Test 1).
  • The Commission will provide feedback about the test results.

Important information:

When sharing the file or requesting assistance from the ENV-EUDR-IS-TEAM@ec.europa.eu Colleagues, please be as specific as possible to ensure a prompt response.

Further information and roadmap about the Information System are available on this website: The Deforestation Due Diligence Registry – European Commission (europa.eu).

Thank you for your participation.

There is no limit in the number of interested individual companies, as long as the (maximum three) GeoJSON files which each of them is going to create and submit are not exactly the same as the files of the other member companies, of course.

The aim is to provide companies in scope of the EUDR with the opportunity to test the files which they aim to upload into the Information System from 30 December 2024 onwards.
